Resources for meeting NESHAP requirements

New - Here is a link to the webinar presentation from November 2010. You can download and watch it. Forms for notification and compliance can be had here... This is probably your best federal resource. Look for boxes on the right side of the page with links to forms etc. Keep in mind that Montana administers the prorgram and that we are in Region 8 of the EPA out of Denver. You must mail the compliance form to the state EPA office and the Denver regional EPA office by March 11, 2011.

All shops that perform repairs involving spray painting are required to meet a new set of regulations commonly known as NESHAP. MCRS will maintain this page with listings of resources, training and documentation to help you meet NESHAP regs.

Here is a link to the Federal Register listing of the regulations. It may be a little complicated but it is the horse's mouth, as they say.

The contact in Helena for the person administering the program is Carson Coate. He can be reached at (406) 444-0285 or by email at ccoate@mt.gov

Some Montana PBE outfits are providing some of the training you'll need to complete. This includes certification in HVLP spray techniqes. The law seems to say that you need certification and records of it to be current.
